J. David Currie, DC is a 1981 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and has maintained an active practice in Fremont, California for more than four decades. Affectionately known among colleagues and patients as the “Dancing Chiropractor” — a nod to his love of ballroom and Latin/salsa dance — Dr. Currie brings the same precision and rhythm to the adjusting table that he brings to the dance floor.
A Gonstead Diplomate and Fellow, Dr. Currie is the past President of the Gonstead Clinical Studies Society and the founder of the Gonstead Adjusting Academy. He currently serves as a Professor at Life Chiropractic College West, where he has long championed a philosophy of skilled, specific adjusting. His teaching methodology challenges the traditional “tension and set-up” model in favor of what he calls Relaxation, Balance and Timing — an approach that produces what attendees describe as dramatically more refined clinical results.
Dr. Currie’s clinical focus centers on chronic and difficult cases, guided by his straightforward practice philosophy: Find the Patient’s Problem, Fix it, and Leave it Alone. He has taught the Gonstead System throughout the United States and internationally, including Singapore, Malaysia, China, the UK, Spain, Germany, Mexico, Japan, Argentina, Australia, and Brazil. Lifewest He also offers advanced consultation and hands-on coaching for practicing doctors seeking to deepen their Gonstead evaluation and adjusting skills.
With over 150 Gonstead seminars attended and more than 40 years in active practice, Dr. Currie represents one of the most experienced and widely traveled educators in the Gonstead community.
