Dr. Julie L. Johnson, DC, CFMP, brings over two decades of expertise in chiropractic care, functional medicine, acupuncture, and health education to the WAVE Conference stage. A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Johnson is an accomplished faculty clinician and assistant professor at Palmer, where she mentors student interns and provides evidence-informed care to underserved populations. Her clinical excellence extends to her work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she played a key role in VERDICT—a nationally recognized, multi-institutional study on chiropractic therapy for chronic low back pain in veterans.
In addition to her clinical and academic accomplishments, Dr. Johnson is a passionate advocate for community health education, integrative medicine, and military family wellness. Her leadership in community relations, health literacy, and outreach initiatives has made a lasting impact across academic and public health sectors. From classroom instruction to patient care and program development, Dr. Johnson consistently blends innovation, compassion, and expertise—making her a powerful voice in advancing chiropractic and integrative health.
