Dr. Eric McKillican was born and raised in Southern California in a family of chiropractors—he is a second-generation chiropractor and one of seven in his family. His journey in the chiropractic field began at birth; he was born at home by a chiropractor and raised in a chiropractic environment. Recognizing his true calling early on, he started working in his father’s chiropractic office at age 14. Following in his family’s footsteps, he attended Life Chiropractic College West, graduating in 1993.
Dr. McKillican has continuously expanded his knowledge through postgraduate studies, including certification in Sports Injuries (1998), a Chiropractic Pediatrics Fellowship through the ICPA (2000), and Chiropractic Philosophy through Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa (2002). His thesis was published in Philosophical Contemplations; Viewpoints on Chiropractic Philosophy V.3 in 2003. He further earned his Diplomate in Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS) in 2016 and completed postgraduate training in Animal Chiropractic through Options for Animals and the IVCA in 2019.
He owned and operated a large family wellness practice in Omaha, Nebraska for 15 years before relocating to California, where he established and managed a practice in Folsom for another 12 years. Currently, Dr. McKillican practices in Temecula, California, serving both human and animal patients.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. McKillican has been on the faculty at Life Chiropractic College West for 15 years, teaching chiropractic philosophy.
During his time in Nebraska, he founded and led a Chiropractic Philosophy group that hosted “Patient Awareness Nights” with speakers such as Drs. Arno Burnier, Reggie Gold, and Joseph Felisa. Similarly, in Northern California, he ran the CORE Philosophy group for several years.
Dr. McKillican’s mentor and close colleague was Dr. Joseph Felisa, a chiropractic pioneer. In 1999, Dr. Felisa invited him to serve as a keynote speaker at the Renaissance Chiropractic Management seminars. Their collaboration continued successfully until 2004. He has also lectured nationally and internationally for the ICPA.
At age 18, Dr. McKillican began training with Anthony Robbins seminars, gaining certification in Neuro-Associative Conditioning (NAC). He continued practicing NAC for seven years and still incorporates the techniques in his work today.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. McKillican has over 30 years of experience in martial arts, earning numerous honors, and emphasizing health and wellness in his personal life.
